Rooms & Stays
You can book a room instantly by clicking the 'Book a room' button in the top right corner of this page. Alternatively you can call or email us.
Check-in is from 3pm to 9pm. Please get in touch if you would like to check-in outside of these hours and we will try to accommodate your request.
Check-out is between 8:30am and 10am. Please get in touch if you would like to check-out early or late and we will try our best to accommodate your request.
Yes. Selected rooms at The Bruce Arms are dog friendly with a £10 surcharge. Please contact us before booking to discuss your requirements.
Yes. All room stays include a freshly prepared breakfast to help you start your day in North Yorkshire.
Yes. We have a free to use car park to the rear of the pub to use on a first come, first served basis.
Two of our rooms have space for us to set up a Z-bed for an additional charge. Please check with us directly before booking.
You can book a room directly or through some third-party sites, but you will always get the best rate if you book directly.
No. We take payments for your room booking on arrival or departure, depending on departure time.
Please contact us directly via phone or email to make any changes to your booking. Please note, if you have booked through Booking.com, you will need to make changes via their app or website.
We don't automatically assign a dinner table to our room bookings as we understand you may have other plans. Please contact us to book a table. If you have booked room on a Wednesday, please be aware that our kitchen is not open. There are local dining spots in Masham and Ripon.

We have dog friendly areas for dining. Please mention you are bringing a dog when booking.
Yes! We have a designated children's menu and serve all of our Sunday roasts in a smaller child friendly portion.
Yes. Our menus regularly include vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. Please ask a member of our team for guidance when ordering.
Yes. We offer a range of options suitable for different dietary requirements. Please mention your dietary needs when booking, and speak to our team before ordering.
You can view sample menus on our website and social media pages. Please be aware these are only sample menus and there may be differences each day.
If you have booked online you can make amends to your booking through the confirmation email. Alternatively, please contact us directly via email or phone.
Please contact us if you are running late. We will try and get in contact with you if we haven't heard from you in 15 minutes but on a busy night, we may have to give your table away if we do not receive any contact.
Yes! We have an extensive wine list. If something takes your fancy, get in touch and we will have it ready on your table before you arrive.
Events & Private Hire
Absolutely! We welcome group bookings. Please contact us in advance so we can accommodate your requirements.
Yes. The Bruce Arms has areas available for private hire, celebrations, gatherings, meetings, and special occasions.

We can accommodate a variety of celebrations and gatherings. Please contact us to discuss your plans and requirements.
We encourage balloons, banners and decorations. Please be aware that we do not allow any form of sticky tape on the walls.
General Queries
Yes. Free parking is available for guests visiting for dining, drinks, private events, and overnight stays.
If our car park is full, you can find plenty on street parking nearby.
Yes. Please ask a member of staff for the WI-FI password.

Yes. Families and children are welcome at The Bruce Arms.
The Bruce Arms is located in the heart of West Tanfield, North Yorkshire, between Ripon and Masham, making it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside.

We are open Wednesday 3pm- late and Thursday to Sunday 10am-late every week.
